"Actually, you can be bad at something, Lily, but if you love doing it, that will be enough."
August says this when Lily asks her if she thinks that she (Lily) will be able to keep bees one day. August at first says she will be a good beekeeper because Lily loves the bees, but then she changes her mind and says that.
I think this quote means that your love for something is worth more than your abolity at doing something. I think it means that even if your bad at something, but you still love it, that is enough.
Any other opinions on what the quote means?
I think that if you really truly love something with all your heart, than that's all that matters; nothing else does. Who cares if your bad at it, if it puts a smile on your face every day, isn't that all that counts?
