I think that Lily is definitely feeling lost, especially in Chapter 8. She calls home to talk to T. Ray, who only yells at her and puts her down. Then she asks if he knows her favorite color and cant even answer. She knows that he doesn't really love him, and tells him that she doesn't lover him. Why do you think T. Ray is so harsh to Lily, especially because she is his daughter, and shes always done such nice things for him? Why doesn't he really love her?
I think it's a combination of things. Other than the fact that he has a terrible personality, I think we are all forgetting that the death of Lily's mother not only impacted Lily, but probably also affected T. Ray.
ReplyDeleteIf Lily really was the one to kill her, than it probably makes him hate her even more. Maybe he thinks that if it weren't for Lily, his wife would still be there...
I think it's because of Deborah. Deborah leaves T.Ray and he gets very angry and curious about her. Lily probably reminds T.Ray about Deborah which could anger him. Also because Lily constantly ask T.Ray about Deborah but he could say nothing else than the fact that she killed her mother, this constant questioning could also anger T.Ray
