May got the call from Zach's mother and it put her into a sort of trance for a couple minutes. What do you think was going through her mind when that happened? Do you think that she was thinking of how she could kill herself or do you think she was thinking of Zach?
May then goes to the river and kills herself. Do you think this was bound to happen? Do you think April killing herself when she was fifteen had any influence on May's decision to kill herself? Why did the wall just not work for this? It had worked before. For years it had worked. Why did it just stop working?
All of the people in bees' farm lied to May about Zach was in jail. It may makes Lily feel worse than anything happened before. I think it is one of the main reason for May to chose kill herself not only because Zach is in jail.
