T.Ray is a character that since the beginning of the story is meant to be disliked. The way he acts and talks to Lily just makes us feel like he is the main reason why Deborah left him but it makes a lot more scence that he became that way because of Deborah. Do you think that Lily thinks this way as well? Do you think she feels like her father loves her in some way? Why?

I think T.Ray loves Lily in his own way, he told Lily that he spent more than half summer to find her. Maybe T.Ray becomes a mean because Deborah left him, he cant trust anyone any more. Becoming a mean person is actually one to protect himself.
ReplyDeleteI think that because Lily is a lot like Deborah, that T.Ray has to love her, in some way. There is no way that he cant love her deep inside, but I think that he turns his anger on Lily because he sometimes thinks that she is Deborah.
