Ok, so we've met The Calendar Sisters. What do you think of them? In my opinion May is a little quirky and sort of weird in a way but I understand why she is how she is. I mean if you had a twin that you were as close to as May and April were, or so we have been told, then do you think you would be the same as May after your twin killed him or herself?
Then there's June. She's a little standoffish in my opinion but only towards Lily and Rosaleen. Why do you think this is? June is really nice to her sisters and Neil but she is mean to Lily AND Rosaleen. I mean if it was a racist thing then wouldn't she be mean to only Lily? Why both of them?
And last but not least, there's August. She is my personal favorite because she's just so nice. She took Lily and Rosaleen into her house when she didn't have to and she didn't know them. She hasn't asked Lily to leave or to tell the truth about why she is there. She hinted that Lily should go back home but she didn't say "You should go home." Do you think Lily will end up telling August why she came there?
This comment is for the third paragraph. Yes I believe that August will persuade Lily into telling her why she came there through the stories that August tells Lily. The stories are such as the story about the nun going away.
ReplyDeleteThis comment is also for the third paragraph. I think that Lily will not tell August until she finds out something about her mothers past or any type of relationship she had with her mother. Until that point, I don't think that she will tell anything to August.
ReplyDeleteHere's another 3rd paragraph: I think that Lily at some point is going to crack, and breakdown until she finally tells August why she is there. I definitely think August already knows, but its worth the thought.
ReplyDeleteI don;t think that Lily will end up telling the reason why she came here to August until she think it is the time to do so. She is sure that it is not the time to tell the reason to August, and she found that June doesn't want keep her because of her color. She should solve all the conflicts and understand The Calendar sisters first, then tell the reason.
