Lily seems to always be trying to find ways to escape. it started out with just lying, but when she figured out that she could faint, and leave that way, she wishes she could do that more often. She already physically escaped from T. Ray, so what could she be escaping from now?
I think that Lily is trying to escape from all the problems that face her now. The darkness of not knowing the answers about her mother's past (until recent chapters),living in hiding from T.Ray, not knowing if she killed her mother, and the saddness of not being able to be with Zach until later,and May. I think it is Lily's past and furture that she is trying to escape from.
ReplyDeleteWell thanks Georgia for taking almost everyone of my ideas..I agree with Georgia but also she is trying to escape the present also by being in hiding. As much as she loves the Boatwright sister she knows that she can only stay there so long but she doesn't want to accept that fact so she just keeps avoiding it, trying to escape from it.
